Responsibilities

• Perform full layout inspections on complex machined parts and assemblies in accordance with customer specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable quality standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements to verify dimensional compliance.
• Conduct FAIs per AS9102, as well as in-process and final inspections.
• Operate precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, indicators, optical comparators, surface plates, and other inspection instruments.
• Program, set up, and operate CMMs to perform dimensional inspections and generate inspection reports.
• Document inspection results using inspection reports, AS9102 documentation, quality records, and electronic quality management systems.
• Identify, document, and report nonconforming material following company procedures.
• Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions related to dimensional or quality issues.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and customers to resolve inspection concerns and support continuous improvement.
• Verify equipment calibration and maintenance prior to use; maintain organized inspection records.
