Job summary

Safran Electrical & Power is seeking a Quality Engineering Manager to oversee the quality engineering function in Sarasota, FL. The role requires directing a team to sustain world‑class manufacturing quality, drive continuous improvement, and support audits.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent, 5+ years in quality manufacturing, and 4+ years in aerospace, with travel of 50% or more.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or applicable science from an accredited institution.
• 5 years manufacturing experience in the field of Quality.
• At least 4 years of experience in the aerospace sector, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel for domestic and overseas business (50% or more)

Responsibilities

• Supervises Quality Engineers assigned to manufacturing departments to ensure timely flow of services and projects.
• Reports progress and status of projects to Site Quality Manager and Operations Manager.
• Participates in QRQC teams and drives continuous improvement in production lines.
• Leads development and monitoring of quality metrics including non‑quality costs and DPPM.
• Ensures readiness for customer and regulatory audits and site flash audit program.
• Oversees Material Review Board activities and corrective actions with Manufacturing and Design teams.
