Job summary

HEICO in Chatsworth, CA, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Quality Manager and QA Department. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include product discrepancy analysis, collaborating with engineers and manufacturing for root cause, inspecting returned parts, compiling quality reports, and ensuring compliance with AS9100 and AS9102 standards.

Qualifications

• Electrical background required.
• Experience in aerospace industry; RF experience is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years as a Quality Engineer in manufacturing.
• Experience with First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102).
• Experience with AS9100 requirements.
• Proficient with Windows tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedures and manuals.
• Detail-oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work with diverse personalities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Quality Manager and department as a self-started engineer.
• Collaborate with engineers and manufacturing for problem resolution.
• Inspect and evaluate customer returned product for defects.
• Compile quality reports and analyze trends (failures, rejections, warranties).
• Evaluate manufacturing, assembly and testing processes.
• Prepare rework and non-conforming trend analyses.
• Review records for completeness and verify test data.
• Develop management reports.
• Maintain compliance with Material Review Board for Non-Conformances.
• Perform quality engineering reviews of design documentation for conformance.
