Job summary

Ontic Chatsworth is seeking an Aerospace Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations, ensuring products and processes meet customer, regulatory, and QMS requirements. You will own assigned programs, manage nonconformances, perform First Article Inspections, and lead or support root cause investigations to prevent recurring defects.

You will work with Engineering, Operations, Inspection, customers and suppliers to drive continuous improvement and maintain quality metrics while supporting

Qualifications

• Typically 5–7 years of aerospace QA or manufacturing experience.
• Degree in Engineering/Quality/Manufacturing or related field preferred.
• Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and AS9102 FAI processes.
• Experience interpreting drawings, tolerances and GD&T in aerospace.
• Knowledge of 5-Why, Fishbone, 8D and FMEA.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and quality flow-downs for assigned products and programs.
• Manage nonconformance reports and MRB actions to resolve quality issues.
• Perform and review AS9102 First Article Inspection reports.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Analyze defects and quality trends to identify improvements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Inspection on issues.
• Support customer, supplier, internal and regulatory quality audits and maintain quality documentation.
