Job summary

Pankl Aerospace Systems is seeking a Jr Quality Engineer to ensure that quality attributes for assigned programs are controlled in accordance with company and customer requirements. You will support source inspections, MRB activities, and root cause corrective actions in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree with at least 2 years in metal manufacturing, blueprints reading, proficiency with MS Office, and strong communication in English;

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in metal manufacturing; Aerospace experience is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in the metal manufacturing industry.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints; knowledge of metal machining processes is a plus.
• Experience with MRB activities.
• Proficiency with MS Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent organization, detail-oriented, and communication skills.
• Fluent and effective in English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support customer and government source inspection activities, including preparation of source documents, reports and on-site support as needed.
• Support MRB activities in accordance with PAS and customer requirements, report on MRB inventory activity.
• Conduct shop floor surveys to ensure conformance to quality manuals and procedures.
• Support required process metrics using MSA / SPC / Gage R&Rs / VSM methodologies.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
• Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of product requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, practices, procedures and work rules to support and maintain PAS Quality Management System.
