Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Troy, OH is seeking a seasoned Quality Engineer to contribute as an individual contributor, impacting quality across products and processes. You will implement quality systems, drive improvements, and work with design and manufacturing to prevent escapes and reduce nonconformities.

The role requires a university degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, including RCCA, FAI, PFMEA, and process mapping.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a university degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience/education with interpretation of technical drawings, RCCA, containment plans, FAI, Pareto analysis, cause/effect diagrams, process mapping.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain quality control systems and protocols for materials processed into finished products.
  • Devise testing plans, methods, and equipment to assure product reliability; collaborate to ensure quality standards.
  • Ensure documentation is compliant with requirements, objectives and contracts.
  • Identify and manage risk using UPPAP core elements (PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, Control Plans).
  • Lead quality initiatives and drive their implementation for products and manufacturing areas.
  • Perform escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for internally produced products and processes.
