Job summary

Triumph Group in Windsor, CT seeks a 1st shift Quality Engineer to provide QA engineering support across internal and external customers. The role drives theQuality Assurance strategy to ensure products meet industry standards, government regulations, and customer requirements.

The position emphasizes data-driven process improvements, QMS implementation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support new product launches and ongoing operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Quality role within a complex manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Science, Technology, Quality, or other technical fields.
• Experience with problem-solving methods (8D, root cause) and statistical tools.
• Six Sigma and Lean experience preferred.
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO-9001 and related industry standards.
• Knowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Data analysis for sound decision making.

Responsibilities

• Develop and analyze statistical and product/process performance data to recommend and implement improvements.
• Execute initiatives for quality management systems, support new product launches and continuous improvement of existing lines.
• Provide quality interface with customers, contract review, and corrective/preventive actions.
• Present expertise in Quality Assurance tools to support improvement activities.
• Develop, implement, and audit inspection plans and acceptance criteria; lead root-cause investigations.
• Support product development and launch activities, including design reviews, test programs, and cost management.
