Job summary

Actalent is seeking an entry-level Quality Engineer in Pasadena, CA to drive product quality in an aerospace manufacturing environment. You will investigate customer returns, lead CAPA efforts, review RMAs, and participate in audits to ensure compliance with customer and quality requirements.

You will supervise a team of 6 final inspectors, support AS9102 First Article Inspections, and collaborate with Engineering and Operations to resolve defects and drive continuous improvement on the shop

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
• Aerospace Manufacturing Internship Experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Investigate customer-returned products and identify root causes.
• Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.
• Review and process customer RMAs.
• Supervise a team of 6 final inspectors.
• Oversee final inspection activities to ensure compliance with customer and quality requirements.
• Represent Quality on the Material Review Board (MRB).
• Support AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAI).
• Participate in internal and external quality audits.
• Drive continuous improvement and reduce manufacturing defects.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, and Production to resolve quality issues.
