Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to oversee Quality Systems, audits (NADCAP, AS9100, ISO9001), and root cause corrective actions. The role interacts with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure quality is built into the product.

A focus on aerospace/automotive quality processes, PPAP/APQP, and SPC is required. The position is contract to hire, onsite in Phoenix with a 4% attendance bonus and a 401(k) match after vesting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience.
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action.
• Experience interacting with customers and suppliers.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Experience in Aerospace or Automotive industries.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements.
• Develop and improve processes and procedures for production and inspection.
• Lead continuous improvement projects.
• Perform root cause and corrective actions for products and processes.
• Support product monitoring with procedures and training.
• Lead internal audits and coordinate with external auditors (ISO, NADCAP).
• Manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Maintain compliance with ISO and AS9100 standards.
• Perform inspections to support quality function.
• Maintain quality manual and work instructions.
• Implement and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC).
