Heads Up Technologies Addison, Texas, invites a Quality Engineer to drive quality systems across production, ensuring regulatory compliance and customer requirements. You will lead audits, improve processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold airworthiness and product integrity.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, 8D investigations, and corrective actions while supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum of three years of manufacturing experience, preferably aerospace.
• Experience with GD&T and interpreting complex drawings and data.
• Familiarity with quality systems and tools such as 8D, FMEA, Minitab, or Net Inspect.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication; ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Digital literacy with ERP/MRP, MS Office, and digital QMS platforms.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the Quality Management System (AS9100/ISO 9001).
• Lead internal audits and coordinate with external regulatory bodies (FAA).
• Develop quality plans and inspection criteria for hardware and assemblies.
• Lead root cause investigations (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D).
• Drive corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Oversee calibration and maintenance of precision equipment.
• Manage supplier quality and perform supplier audits.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
• Ensure compliance of documentation and airworthiness requirements.
