Job summary

The Gill Corporation is seeking a Quality Engineer to manage non-conformances, corrective actions and CAPA investigations, with a focus on AS9100 compliance and supplier qualification. You will interact with customers, analyze data, and develop quality metrics to ensure manufacturing readiness.

Responsibilities include PFMEA, FAI documentation to AS9102 standards, and preparation of inspection plans while aligning with ANSI and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a Quality Engineer or Quality Specialist.
  • Experience interfacing with customers to perform audits and address concerns/complaints.
  • Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO standards; ASQ auditor certification preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer complaints by addressing corrective actions with scheduled dates.
  • Support Operations Engineers and Quality Manager with customer interfaces to address quality issues; monitor customer rejections per GOS 8.5.2-1.
  • Develop sections of quality metrics, design, and production certification plans to ensure compliance.
  • Perform data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness; create inspection plans and PFMEA.
  • Read and interpret customer specifications, ANSI procedures, industry standards and drawings; prepare and analyze reports.
