Job summary

Associated Spring US, LLC seeks a Quality Engineer to support the Morton Grove, IL facility. This hands-on role focuses on launch-quality documentation and quality-system maturation, with some travel to Milwaukee. 5+ years in quality engineering for stamping or precision metal forming is preferred.

The position requires AS9100/AS9102 experience, GD&T proficiency, and ERP documentation handling. It is a contract role with onsite work at Morton Grove, IL.

Qualifications

• Hands-on ownership of APQP and PPAP submissions, not just oversight.
• Working knowledge of AS9100 requirements in a production environment.
• Experience preparing AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
• Strong GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
• Experience submitting through customer quality portals.

Responsibilities

• Launch quality documentation: develop APQP, PFMEAs, control plans and records.
• Submit PPAP packages through customer approval with relevant results.
• Prepare FAIRs to AS9102 for new/revised parts.
• Issue CoCs and maintain documentation trail.
• Manage documentation through customer portals and disposition tracking.
• Support source inspection and coordinate inspectors; close out findings.
• Mature AS9100 system: tighten procedures and audit readiness.
• Assist internal audits and support corrective actions.
• Collaborate with tooling, process, and manufacturing to ensure quality requirements.
