The role emphasizes CAPA, AS9100/AS9102 compliance, and cross-functional collaboration to support new product development. The ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, 2+ years in quality engineering, and experience with AS9102 FAI, MRB processes, and quality data analysis.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in Quality Engineering in aerospace or regulated industry.
• Knowledge of QA methodologies and QMS.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of AS9100/ISO 9001 and FAA or NADCAP regulations.

Responsibilities

• Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures.
• Coordinate and support First Article Inspections (FAI) per AS9102.
• Lead audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
• Support MRB meetings and material disposition decisions.
• Participate in design and process reviews and quality planning for new products.

• Collaboration:Work with cross-functional teams to meet customer and regulatory specifications.

• New Product Development:Lead quality planning efforts for new product development.
• Inspection Plans:Develop inspection plans for purchased products and parts.

• Support Duties:Perform other quality engineering and manufacturing support duties.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 2+ years in Quality Engineering, aerospace, or other regulated industry.
• Knowledge of quality control methodologies and tools.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
• Knowledge of production processes and quality management systems (QMS).
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102.
• Familiarity with Material Review Board (MRB) processes.
• Quality certifications (CQE, CQA, etc.).
• Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA or NADCAP regulations.
• Experience with quality inspection tools (Net-Inspect, InspectionXpert, etc.).

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Plainview, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $46.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
