Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking a Director of Quality for an aerospace and defense client in Columbus, MS. This on-site leadership role will drive quality strategy, ensure AS9100/ISO 9001 compliance, and oversee audits across internal, supplier, and customer interfaces.

You will lead a team of quality engineers and inspectors, develop KPIs, and partner with Engineering and Manufacturing to lift performance and drive continuous improvement in a growing aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Proven quality management or director-level leadership experience in manufacturing.
• Strong AS9100 and aerospace quality systems expertise.
• Experience managing audits, CAPA, NCRs, and supplier quality.
• Knowledge of aerospace/defense manufacturing requirements.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and cross‑functional communication skills.
• Ability to balance strategic quality initiatives with hands‑on operational execution.

Responsibilities

• Lead site-wide quality operations, strategy, and performance.
• Maintain compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer quality requirements.
• Oversee internal, external, supplier, and customer audits.
• Drive corrective actions, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop quality KPIs and improve manufacturing performance.
• Lead and mentor quality engineers, inspectors, and support personnel.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and executive leadership.
