Job summary

Boeing, via Spirit AeroSystems in Tulsa, seeks a seasoned quality professional to develop and maintain quality systems, ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements, and support aerospace manufacturing operations.

You will lead inspections, interpret drawings, drive process improvements, conduct design reviews, and coach teams on the Quality Management System and Manufacturing Verification Process.

Qualifications

• 6-9 years of experience in a quality discipline, preferably in inspection, aerospace, or manufacturing
• Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate Policy, Procedures, and Specifications
• Interpret drawings and communicate details
• Time Management with ability to prioritize multiple assignments at one time
• Organizational skills pulling data from multiple sources and combining for daily tracking
• Communicate effectively within and outside of group
• Must be able to walk to and from different buildings and stand for multiple hours
• Inspection background with extensive knowledge with quality requirements

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality systems and operating procedures
• Develop directives, policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with contractual, company, and regulatory requirements to assure quality system compliance
• Develop long-range customer inspection plans, acting as agent/designee for customer, to meet contractual and other requirements
• Plan and coordinate improvements in manufacturing (e.g. hardware and tool acceptance, variability reduction, developing key suppliers, and assembly operations)
• Perform design reviews to ensure that quality is engineered into the product and tool and analyze contract drawings and specifications to develop plans for quality processes
• Perform configuration audits and reviews; compile, measure and analyze process capability data
• Apply root cause analysis to plan and coordinate process improvements
• Ensure sequenced inspection control points and maintain inspection accountability systems
• Identify, evaluate, and implement preventative measures and procedural changes and present findings
• Provide education and coaching on the Quality Management System and Manufacturing Verification Process
