The Quality Administrator is responsible for providing administrative and documentation support to the Quality Department, with primary emphasis on supporting Quality Engineers in the preparation of AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) packages.

Primary responsibilities include preparing bubble/balloon drawings, gathering and organizing supporting documentation, preparing FAI documentation packages, maintaining Quality records, and ensuring required documentation is complete and properly organized for review by the Quality Engineer.

The Quality Administrator supports the preparation of First Article Inspection documentation but does not independently approve or accept product conformity unless specifically qualified and authorized to do so.

The Quality Administrator works under the direction of the Director of Quality and will perform additional Quality-related administrative duties and assignments as directed by the Director of Quality.

The Quality Administrator shall understand their role within Acromil's Quality Management System (QMS) and how their activities contribute to product conformity, product safety, accurate recordkeeping, and customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Support Quality Engineers in the preparation of AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
  • Create and maintain bubble/balloon drawings identifying drawing characteristics required for First Article Inspection documentation.
  • Review engineering drawings and specifications for the purpose of identifying and documenting characteristics required for FAI package preparation.
  • Gather, organize, and prepare supporting documentation required for FAI packages, including applicable inspection results, certifications, material documentation, special process certifications, hardware documentation, and other objective evidence.
  • Prepare and organize AS9102 Forms and supporting documentation for review and completion by the assigned Quality Engineer.
  • Verify that required documentation is present and properly organized before submitting FAI packages to the Quality Engineer for technical review and approval.
  • Assist Quality Engineers with corrections, updates, and revisions to FAI documentation as required. Maintain electronic and/or hard-copy FAI records in accordance with Acromil procedures and customer record-retention requirements.
  • Assist with gathering documentation required for customer conformity reviews, source inspections, audits, or other customer-requested Quality documentation.
  • Maintain confidentiality and control of customer, company, and technical data in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Communicate documentation discrepancies, missing information, or potential issues to the assigned Quality Engineer or Quality Management.
  • Work collaboratively with Quality Engineering and Inspection when documentation or information is required to complete assigned Quality activities.
  • Support production schedule requirements by prioritizing FAI and Quality documentation activities based on direction provided by Quality Management.
  • Work directly with the Director of Quality and provide administrative support to the Quality Department as assigned.
  • Perform other Quality-related duties and assignments as directed by the Director of Quality.
  • Utilize applicable procedures, work instructions, forms, and tools established within Acromil's AS9100 Quality Management System.
  • Understand the potential impact that inaccurate, incomplete, or missing Quality documentation may have on product acceptance, product conformity, delivery, and customer requirements.
