Job summary

Rubbercraft is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our aerospace manufacturing team in Long Beach. You will inspect finished parts to drawings and specifications, read blueprints, and use standard measuring tools to ensure conformance.

Collaboration with Quality, Operations, and Engineering is essential to identify root causes and improve processes. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and 2–4+ years in inspection, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4+ years of inspection experience, preferably in aerospace manufacturing.
• Experience inspecting components to drawings, specs, and instructions.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Ability to use standard inspection tools and measuring equipment.
• Working knowledge of aerospace quality requirements and inspection practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP and quality systems; Dynamics Great Plains a plus.
• Strong verbal and written English; bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Detail-oriented with good follow-through.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven manufacturing environment.
• Communicate and collaborate with Quality, Operations, Engineering, and other teams.
• Create and maintain reports on quality issues.
• Develop tests and measurements using inspection equipment, including vision systems.
• Support data collection and analysis to identify root causes and improve in-process acceptance.
• Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections.
• Review paperwork and certifications for accuracy.
• Maintain inspection records per requirements and perform First Article Inspections.
• Support customer source inspections and monitor QA workload.
• Track key quality metrics and supplier performance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and overtime/weekend coverage.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspection for purchased and customer-supplied products.
• Conduct in-process inspections as required.
• Perform all aspects of final inspection and certify documentation.
• Maintain and organize inspection records according to procedures.
• Conduct First Article Inspections per applicable requirements.
• Support customer source inspection activities.
• Monitor QA workload and prioritize inspections to meet due dates.
• Review purchase orders for Special Quality Requirement (SQR) needs.
• Support key quality metrics, supplier performance, and contract reviews.
• Drive continuous improvement across the organization.
