Job summary

ALOFT AeroArchitects seeks a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead audits and manage an integrated QMS. You will develop compliance plans, analyze processes, and drive corrective actions across regulatory requirements.

The role requires interpreting engineering data, coordinating with customers, and ensuring documentation control. Experience with Lean/Six Sigma and ERP systems is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
• 7–10 years aerospace/aviation experience
• 5–7 years ISO 9001/AS9100 and FAA regulatory experience
• Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and data
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and related software
• Strong written and verbal communication
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented with multi-tasking ability
• Willingness to work extended hours when needed

Responsibilities

• Acts as Lead Auditor in Internal and External Auditing functions.
• Develops and conducts compliance audits for FAA, EASA, ITAR/EAR, ISO 9001/AS9100, and related standards.
• Plans, organizes, and facilitates root cause analysis and corrective action events.
• Assists in developing strategies and procedures in response to QMS changes.
• Reviews and suggests improvements to the QMS to meet contract requirements.
• Oversees document control management including external technical data.
• Interacts with customer representatives and acts as liaison for quality issues.
• Uses ERP system to identify contract requirements and ensure compliance.
• Completes initial and recurrent training in a timely manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
