Job summary

HPF in Houston seeks a Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer to lead daily QA activities and ensure AS9100 compliance across aerospace manufacturing.

Responsibilities include reviewing requirements, First Article Inspections, internal audits, CAPA, and continuous improvement with Planning, Engineering and Production.

Requires 5+ years of QA/QE in regulated manufacturing; AS9100/ISO 13485 experience; AS9100 Lead Auditor certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, aerospace, or materials engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years QA/QE experience in a highly regulated manufacturing industry (aerospace or medical devices).
• Proven experience leading or supporting third-party audits (AS9100/ISO 13485/FDA/NADCAP).
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience with First Article Inspection ballooning software and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve AS9100 compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct contract reviews to capture customer, regulatory, and quality requirements.
• Review drawings and quality flow-downs for internal instructions and PO requirements.
• Lead internal audits and ensure audit readiness.
• Perform FAI per AS9100/AS9102 requirements.
• Support CAPA, risk assessments, and nonconformances.
• Lead Lean initiatives to reduce cost of quality and drive improvements.
• Consolidate certifications for traceability and supplier qualifications.
• Present data analysis and improvement opportunities to Top Management.
• Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, QC, and Sales daily as needed.
