Job summary

Cirrus Aircraft in Duluth, MN is seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Inspector to ensure aerospace components meet stringent standards and customer specifications. You will inspect, test, and document results, and report deviations with clear corrective actions.

Responsibilities include reading drawings, auditing processes, maintaining records, and supporting continuous improvement while upholding safety standards. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

  • GED/HS diploma or equivalent required.
  • A&P license or related quality assurance degree preferred.
  • Certifications such as ASNT or ASQ CQI are a plus.
  • Familiarity with aerospace standards and inspection tools.
  • Minimum 2 years in aerospace QA/QC, manufacturing or assembly.
  • Strong understanding of aerospace materials, processes and testing methods.
  • Proficient in reading drawings and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of QMS and inspection software.
  • Leadership experience is preferred.
  • Ability to manage stress and multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Reads, interprets and inspects to drawings, procedures and process specs.
  • Communicates findings to the appropriate department for corrective action.
  • Maintains detailed records of inspection results and non-conformances.
  • Conducts audits of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and safety.
  • Ensures products meet drawing, specification and customer requirements.
  • Analyzes assemblies to determine acceptance or rejection based on specs.
  • Ensures paperwork is accurate and complete for operations performed.
  • Identifies non-conformances and works with cross-functional teams on corrective actions.
  • Keeps work areas clean and complies with 6S and PPE requirements.
