Talentify in Redmond, WA is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to manage open purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials. This role serves as a liaison between suppliers, procurement teams, planners, and internal stakeholders by monitoring order status, expediting critical orders, and updating due dates to keep operations on track.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of purchasing or related supply chain experience, plus strong Excel skills (Pivot, VLOOKUP) and experience with ERP/MRP

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or related supply chain role.
• Basic Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas.
• Experience with ERP or MRP systems (e.g., SAP, QAD).
• Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Detail oriented with proactive communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Balance inbound materials flow to support manufacturing lines and meet inventory KPIs.
• Manage POs per inventory targets and MOQ policies.
• Ensure PO pricing aligns with standard costs and push back on increases.
• Proactively resolve issues to minimize production delays.
• Negotiate volume price breaks with suppliers.
• Identify shortages/capacity issues and coordinate prioritization.
• Escalate technical issues with stakeholders as needed.
• Work with suppliers to resolve performance, quality, or lead-time issues.
• Update MRP with correct purchased part parameters.
• Respond to internal/external requests and maintain customer relationships.
• Suggest process improvements and participate in quality teams.
