Job summary

The West Hartford office of SNI Companies is hiring a Purchasing and Quoting Analyst for a Direct Hire position in Manchester.

This role is with a leading aerospace manufacturing company looking for candidates with strong work histories in aerospace or manufacturing, who will plan, buy and expedite delivery of requirements identified by the business system or department representatives while minimizing transactions, cost, and inventory.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of aerospace manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to learn and use ERP/MRP systems; Epicor experience desired.
• Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and enter Purchase Orders within cost estimate to be delivered on time.
• Maintain and expedite delivery schedules with suppliers and relay supplier delivery information to appropriate departments.
• Raise RFQs and evaluate proposals to ensure the most appropriate supplier is determined.
• Manage supplier scorecards to ensure supplier on-time delivery and quality meet requirements.
• Negotiate the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
• Work as a member of the supply chain team on various projects.
