Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking a PT Technician to perform in-house Aerospace shop work focused on penetrant testing (PT). Responsibilities include setting up and calibrating equipment and conducting PT tests under minimal supervision.

You will interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results, and ensure compliance with SNT-TC1A/NAS-410 standards while guiding trainees and Level I personnel. Full‑time position with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a specialized NDT program meeting SNT-TC1A.
• NDE Level II certification or Level I with aerospace experience hours toward Level II per SNT-TC1A or NAS-410.
• Familiarity with codes, standards, and contractual documents.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and guide trainees.

Responsibilities

• NDT PT method work in-house for aerospace shop.
• Set up and calibrate equipment for PT testing.
• Conduct PT tests independently using appropriate PT techniques.
• Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results.
• Direct the work of trainees and Level I personnel where certified.
• Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
• Identify and resolve problems promptly.
• Present numerical data effectively.
