Job summary

Karman Space & Defense is hiring a Program Planner in Arlington, WA. This full-time, on-site role focuses on developing manufacturing plans to guide the production of machined parts and assemblies, ensuring alignment with engineering requirements, quality standards, and program objectives.

You will collaborate with machinists, engineers, program managers, operations, and quality teams to create accurate planning, maintain BOMs, coordinate purchasing, and track material delivery to keep programs

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in an aerospace machine shop environment.
• Associate’s degree is preferred.
• EPICOR ERP experience of 4+ years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interprets engineered prints and ERP data to develop complete manufacturing plans.
• Coordinates with program managers and engineers to incorporate product requirements into planning.
• Integrates fabrication and assembly processes into planning with manufacturing teams.
• Partners with quality engineering to ensure plans reflect quality requirements.
• Prepares purchase requisitions and develops purchase suggestions based on program needs.
• Maintains bills of materials (BOMs) to support purchasing and planning.
• Solicits supplier quotes to support planning and procurement.
• Tracks delivery dates and on-time status for materials.
• Works with manufacturing departments and suppliers to resolve issues and maintain production progress.
• Communicates planning changes to program managers to support execution.
