Job summary

Trident Systems Space Electronic Systems (SES) division is seeking a Program Material Planner in Fairfax, VA. The role focuses on program-facing material ownership, translating schedules and demand signals into executable material plans, and providing direction to planning teams to ensure material readiness across functions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 4+ years of material planning experience within manufacturing or aerospace.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of material planning, production planning, buyer/planner, or related experience.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems to plan material requirements and manage data.
• Knowledge of BOM, lead times, inventory drivers, and planning parameters.
• Ability to coordinate material readiness across functions and communicate status.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary Supply Chain contact for material readiness and risks.
• Own program material interface across Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and PM.
• Provide direction to Material Planner IIs on planning and shortages.
• Analyze schedules, demand signals, forecasts, BOMs, inventory, and lead times to build material plans.
• Lead material readiness reviews covering shortages, long-lead risks, and recovery actions.
• Coordinate with Procurement on purchasing actions and supplier commitments.
• Align with Manufacturing on production schedules, kitting, and material movement.
• Support quotes, lead-time estimates, and supplier availability data.
• Maintain ERP/MRP data including due dates and planning parameters.
• Escalate material risks with clear options and owners.
