Job summary

Axillon Aerospace is seeking an experienced Program Manager to drive successful delivery across programs within our value streams. You will interface with customers, engineering, production, supply chain, and quality teams to meet cost, schedule, technical, and quality objectives.

The role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and knowledge of defense contract practices. Relocation and California compensation are supported, with a salary range of $130K-$145K per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, project management, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant program management experience.
• Experience with NPI processes and new business programs preferred.
• Strong communication, planning, and leadership skills.
• Knowledge of US government contracts and FAR/DFAR is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for internal distribution of all project related documentation for review and revisions as required.
• Monitors project budgets; reviews reports and expenses; tracks and reports financial performance.
• Follows guidelines to manage milestone completion from start to finish.
• Identifies risks and provides solutions to minimize/eliminate risk; monitors key processes.
• Defines objectives and oversees quality control for programs and projects.
• Facilitates timely decisions to maintain schedule and budget; provides metrics to upper management.
• Communicates and presents plans clearly; builds strong customer relationships.
• Serves as primary customer contact for assigned program(s) and manages change requests.
• Supports customer cost audits (DCMA/DCAA) and cost/pricing packages.
• Identifies process improvements in program execution, manufacturing efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Monitors contractual requirements for property/tool calibration and SOP adherence
• Leads and directs work for team; uses judgment in business decisions.
• Exercises independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
