Job summary

Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) in Salt Lake City seeks a Program Manager to direct all phases of programs in the Aerostructures division, overseeing safety, quality, schedule, and cost while interfacing with customers and coordinating proposals, budgets, and SOWs. The role requires 5+ years of program experience, a BS in Engineering/Business/Finance (MS preferred), PMP, and ITAR knowledge; DoD contracting experience is essential.

Relocation is provided, and US Person status is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project, program or related experience.
• BS in Engineering, Business or Finance; MS preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing government contracts.
• Experience in budgeting, profit and loss management.
• Experience in proposal writing.
• Aerospace Experience.
• Knowledge of government contracting.
• PMP or equivalent required.
• Familiarity and experience in managing ITAR data.
• LEAN training desired.

Responsibilities

• Direct all phases of programs from inception through completion including program management, development and closure of change proposals, scope growth opportunities, and cost reduction activities.
• PM is responsible for safety, quality, schedule, technical performance and cost (P&L) of company programs or subsystems of major programs.
• Serve as primary customer interface and cultivate customer relationships.
• Coordinate preparation of proposals, business plans, performance SOW and specifications, operating budgets and contract terms/conditions.
• Lead program reviews with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Establish program Statement of Work and milestones; monitor adherence to master plans and schedules, identify problems and provide solutions.
• Lead development, production or services program(s) for major components or medium systems.
• Coordinate across planning stages with subcontractors for multi-customer programs.
• Measure and report program performance.
• Apply advanced principles to provide solutions across program requirements.
• Responsible for financial risk in execution of programs; analyze size, complexity, and growth potential.
• Work with Business development to obtain new business or expand product lines with customers.
• May manage proposal efforts.
