Job summary

Albany International Corporation is seeking a Program Manager to lead cross-functional teams from inception to completion. You will coordinate contract, finance, engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations to keep programs on schedule and within budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or business, 3+ years of program experience, and experience with government contracts. Some remote work possible; relocation not specified.

As our Program Manager you’ll be reporting to our Director of Program Management and have the opportunity to support programs from inception through completion, while communicating effectively with internal customers and functional organizations.

Primary Responsibilities :
  • Provide leadership and direction to the program team
  • Manage the performance of program functions - contract, finance, engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations
  • Identify and assess risk and opportunities with appropriate mitigating and capitalizing actions
  • Ensure that the programs/projects are on schedule to the program milestones
  • Manage budgets and update weekly, monthly, quarterly performance reviews
  • Present status and overall financial and schedule performance to internal customers
  • Forecast financial performance and staffing needs
  • Support contract negotiations, endorse final price/contract terms and resolve contract issues
  • Manage customer satisfaction
  • Special projects and miscellaneous duties, as needed or assigned

Working Conditions:

Office environment, moderate to quiet noise and not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions. Ability to work 24/7 schedule as business situations require. Some remote work possible.

Professionals:

  • Occasionally positions self to move an office item >10 lbs.
  • Frequently move about the production floor and office area to attend meetings or trainings
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 75% of the time
  • Frequently operates a computer, enters data into systems, verifies information, etc.
