Job summary
SEKISUI Aerospace in Renton, WA, is seeking a Trimmer to join our production team. The role uses hand tools and pneumatic power tools to trim and deburr composite components with precision, under supervision as an entry-level position.
You'll read detailed instructions, operate equipment, and ensure quality and safety while supporting aerospace manufacturing for leading programs. Weekend shift Fri-Sun 4:00AM–4:30PM; pay range $22.25–$26.25 per hour, DOE.
Qualifications
- Read and understand detailed instructions.
- Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Skilled in using pneumatic router and drill motors.
- Able to use measuring equipment (scales, calipers).
- Good interpersonal skills and basic math aptitude.
Responsibilities

The Trimmer uses hand tools or hand-held power tools to cut and trim a variety of manufactured composite parts.
Entry/Junior level individual contributor, semi-skilled worker who operates machines, factory-related processing equipment, or vehicles. Requires little or no prior experience and no more than a few months of training that is often received while on the job. Has little or no autonomy and works under close supervision. Achieves competency with skills assigned to this level over time.
- Trim and deburr fabricated components using pneumatic power tools.
- Sign off on all work performed, reporting all production discrepancies and schedule concerns to supervisor.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment or supplies; promoting safety in the workplace.
- Ability to read and understand detailed instructions.
- Excellent eye and hand coordination.
- Skilled in the use of pneumatic router and drills motors.
- Ability to utilize measuring equipment, including scales and calipers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Composite training preferred.
- One year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Composite manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
Basic computer skills.
While performing typical duties of this job, production employees will experience the conditions noted below. PPE is provided to protect employees against physical harm or hazards in the workplace environment.
- Exposure to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
- Exposure to hazardous equipment.
- Exposure to contaminants.
- Shared workspaces with other employees.
- Requires handling objects of up to 50 lbs.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, and bending.
- Usually work indoors. These sites may not be temperature controlled.
- Standing and/or walking for 8 to 12 or more hours per day (varies based on role, shift, and overtime).
Required PPE provided by SEKISUI Aerospace based on the employee's position and exposure. Below are typical PPE used on the production floor. Appropriate PPE must be worn by all employees when on the production floor.
