Job summary

Saab, Inc. is seeking a Production Supervisor for our West Lafayette, IN facility to lead daily air structure manufacturing operations for the U.S. Air Force T-7A Red Hawk project.

This role works closely with the Production Manager to drive goals, mentor staff, and ensure safe, efficient production. Qualified candidates have 10+ years in manufacturing, 5+ years of supervisory leadership, and experience in aerospace or AS9100/ISO environments.

Qualifications

• AS or BS degree in Operations Management, Advanced Manufacturing, Aeronautics, or related field preferred but not required.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience; advanced manufacturing a plus.
• 5+ years of supervisory/people leadership experience.
• Aerospace industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
• Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment is desirable.
• Experience using MES and ERP systems.
• Ability to lead by example and build positive work relationships.
• Experience driving performance and accountability within teams.
• Willingness to work a flexible/extended schedule to meet timelines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead daily air structure manufacturing operations.
• Communicate and drive daily production goals.
• Report on structural assembly operations and KPI alignment.
• Maintain Saab 6S program and safe, clean environment.
• Mentor team and provide training to improve performance.
• Oversee work hours and shift coverage on a daily/weekly basis.
• Collaborate with management and support roles to meet customer timelines.
