Job summary

RTCA is seeking a Manufacturing Production Planning Lead in Chatsworth, CA to own and optimize production schedules across multiple work centers. You will mentor Planning Associates, collaborate with Master Scheduler, and drive on-time delivery while coordinating across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and engineering.

The role requires strong ERP/MRP and Excel skills, experience in a manufacturing setting, and a focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or production control within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience utilizing ERP/MRP systems to manage schedules, work orders, and production data.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Office proficiency, with the ability to build and interpret planning metrics and reports.

Responsibilities

• Own and independently manage production schedules across multiple work centers, product lines, or shifts.
• Coordinate daily and weekly production priorities across machining, quality, purchasing, shipping, and engineering to protect schedule integrity.
• Develop, track, and report key planning metrics to the Master Scheduler and site leadership.
• Lead onboarding, training, and day-to-day guidance for Planning Associates.
