Job summary

Terran Orbital is seeking a Production Planner to join our team, reporting to the Sr. Manager of Production Planning. The role focuses on ensuring timely procurement, scheduling, and delivery of materials to support production and engineering operations.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain schedules and deliver performance reports. Your efforts drive continuous improvement in planning processes, coordinating with project managers and stakeholders to align milestones and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and relevant production planning experience.
3+ years as a production planner/scheduler with proven schedule maintenance.
Familiar with Earned Value Management or similar metrics.
Proven ability to maintain production schedules and deliver performance reports.
Proficient with project scheduling software (MS Project, Excel, Dynamics).
Proficient with databasing software (Excel, MS Access, SQL).
Proficient with ERP software (MS Dynamics).
Able to keep stakeholders informed of timelines and changes.
Aerospace industry experience or equivalent planning for advanced programs.
Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
Experience presenting to executive-level audiences.
U.S. Person or lawful permanent resident to comply with export regulations.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement and maintain material requirement plans based on production schedules.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material needs and align procurement.
Monitor inventory levels to optimize stock and minimize excess materials.
Coordinate with procurement for on-time material delivery and resolve delays or quality issues.
Analyze usage, lead times and demand fluctuations to drive process improvements.
Integrate parallel program requirements with project managers and third-party PMs.
Coordinate production timelines with internal departments and external stakeholders.
Monitor progress against timelines and deadlines.
Identify bottlenecks and propose actionable improvements to the schedule.
Evaluate performance and prepare production performance reports.
Develop metrics and calculations using production schedule data.
Update schedules to reflect changes and communicate updates to stakeholders.
Document scheduling processes and maintain records.
Hold regular meetings to gather inputs and monitor progress toward milestones.
Ensure products stay within budget and meet deadlines.
