Job summary

RTX (Pratt & Whitney Grand Prairie) in Grand Prairie, TX seeks a surface prep and repair operator for aero-engine components. You will perform turbine airfoil maintenance tasks, including grit blasting, masking, and blending, while supporting mentorship of teammates.

The role emphasizes safety, clear communication, and adherence to EH&S policies. FAA-regulated facility with compliance requirements and potential testing procedures.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. GED) with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments is a plus.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surface prep and repair operations on aero-engine turbine airfoil components.
• May include grit blasting, masking, blending, and related tasks.
• Assist in developing other team members.
• Perform assigned tasks with safety as a priority and in compliance with EH&S rules.
• Support facility needs and adapt to additional duties as required.
• Communicate clearly and maintain professional standards on the shop floor.
