Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Production Assembler for the Chattahoochee Tech Training Program in Marietta, GA. The role involves assembling detail structural and mechanical assemblies from fabricated and purchased parts using established tooling and blueprints.

You will contribute to the assembly process, including pressing, drilling, riveting, and bolting, with emphasis on accuracy and adherence to technical data. Training will cover on-the-job learning and proficiency demonstrations.

Qualifications

• 4 months of production assembly-type work or 4 months of mechanical experience (e.g., automotive/HVAC repair, construction, bench assembly).
• Must be able to read assembly blueprints and use basic hand tools.
• Must pass proficiency demonstrations during training and onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Assemble fabricated and purchased parts into detail assemblies following tooling and blueprints.
• Press, trim, fit, and burr detail parts before final assembly.
• Install bushings, bearings, brackets, nuts, and gussets as required.
• Assemble parts in predetermined sequence for joining operations (welding, riveting, bolting).
• Maintain cleaning, lubrication, color-coding, and part identification.
