Job summary

Astronics LSI is hiring production assemblers to join our manufacturing teams assembling lighting and panels for aerospace customers. You’ll work on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off and a longer workday on other weekdays.

New hires face a 90‑day probation with our staffing partner, leading to a full-time role with benefits the month after conversion. Expect to perform read-throughs of blueprints, operate measurement tools, and maintain clean, safe work areas.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work instructions, blueprints and compliance docs.
• Dexterity to handle measuring devices like rulers, calipers, scales and gauges.
• Adherence to safety policies and use of PPE.
• Lean and continuous improvement mindset in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong problem solving and teamwork skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Read, learn, understand, and interpret safety rules, work instructions, blueprints, compliance docs.
• Understand measuring devices (rulers, eye loop, digital scale, gauges).
• Follow safety policies and use PPE (gloves, safety glasses, smocks, steel-toed shoes).
• Tends machines and performs assembly tasks to meet specs.
• Communicate issues or equipment defects to management.
• Support continuous improvement and cross-train to other depts.
• Position and align parts in fixtures; perform joining operations as needed.
• Assist with painting processes and mounting assemblies as required.
• Ensure proper wiring connections and assembly integrity.
