Job summary

Safran Seats in Gainesville, Texas is seeking an Engineering Development Lab Technician – Procurement to help define and procure tooling, raw materials, and parts for Customer Show Seats, PDR, CDR and DEV testing projects.

You will work to obtain materials at lowest cost while maintaining quality and schedule, monitor shortages, and drive PO releases to support testing programs; a background in planning or buying and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of manufacturing related experience required.
• 1 year planning or buying related experience preferred.
• Average working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Good understanding of manufacturing and materials processes.
• Ability to generate written communication and operate office equipment.
• Ability to read and review written communication.
• English language fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tooling, raw materials & parts are defined, procured, and available to support program schedules.
• Obtain materials and services at the lowest cost while ensuring quality and reliability.
• Monitor and communicate shortages to keep parts on track for builds and testing.
• Drive program status to meet milestones and coordinate with other functions as dates shift.
• Release and reschedule manufacturing and purchase orders to support testing projects.
