Job summary

Quantum Space, based in Hawthorne, CA, is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to support procurement and supply chain across spacecraft programs. You will coordinate purchasing activities, manage supplier relationships, and ensure timely acquisition of materials, equipment, and services supporting engineering, production, and business operations.

You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to optimize cost, quality, and delivery, maintain supplier performance, and drive procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or 4+ years of related experience.
• Or 4+ years of professional experience in supply chain, production, or engineering in lieu of a degree.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple purchase orders and suppliers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions and issue accurate purchase orders for materials, equipment, and services.
• Manage purchasing activities across multiple commodities and internal functions.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and pricing terms.
• Collaborate with Finance and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Lead supplier onboarding, negotiations, and term optimization.
• Drive procurement process improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.
