Job summary

Ursa Major, based in Colorado, seeks a Procurement Buyer to manage purchase orders for materials, coordinate deliveries, and communicate timelines to internal customers.

You'll collaborate with Facilities, Engineering, and Finance to support manufacturing goals, negotiate terms, and maintain supplier relationships while ensuring ITAR/EAR compliance. This on-site role operates from Berthoud and Longmont facilities.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Understanding of hardware-centered production environment.
• Project management knowledge.
• Familiarity with ERP systems; Odoo experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders for materials, components, services, and equipment.
• Partner with Facilities to create and manage PO for corporate events.
• Regularly update Supply Chain leadership and internal customers on PO status and delivery timelines.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Oversee supplier management, ensuring ITAR/EAR compliance.
• Build strong supplier relationships for prompt deliveries and pricing.
• Assist in NDA creation and processing.
• Manage multiple purchase requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Resolve price discrepancies, delays, or damaged goods; escalate as needed.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Material Control, Quality, Finance, etc., to meet timelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

This role will work out of our Berthoud and Longmont, Colorado facilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage purchase orders for raw materials, components, services, and equipment needed for manufacturing.
• Partner with Facilities to create and manage purchase orders for corporate events.
• Regularly update Supply Chain leadership and internal customers on the status of open purchase orders and delivery timelines.
• Assist in negotiating favorable pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with new and existing suppliers.
• Assistin the oversight of the supplier management system, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations (ITAR/EAR).
• Establish andmaintainstrong relationships with suppliers to ensure prompt deliveries andoptimalpricing.
• Aid in supplier non-disclosure agreement creation and processing.
• Attention to detail and ability tomanage multiple purchase requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Resolve issues related to price discrepancies, delayed shipments, or damaged goods; escalating when necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such asEngineering,MaterialControl,Quality,Finance, and others,tomeet project and production timelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 1-2years of experience inprocurement,purchasing, orsupply chain, preferably in a manufacturingenvironment(aerospace experience is a plus).
• Understanding of hardware-centered production environment.
• Project managementknowledge.
• Familiarity withmodern ERP systems (experience withOdoois a plus).

Colorado law requires us to tell you the base compensation range of this role, which is $61,000 - $73,000, determined by your education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. What we can’t quantify for you are the exciting challenges, supportive team, and amazing culture we enjoy.
