Aerospace Process Inspector - 5th Shift

Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Process Inspector for its Bridgeport, WV site. You will inspect parts delivered by vendors and after service work, ensuring conformance to drawings and manuals.

You will work across shop floor levels and engine lines, contributing to engine quality and reliability. The role is onsite with a 5th shift schedule (Fri-Sun 5pm-5am); training may rotate to other shifts for up to six months before settling into the 5th shift.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent and 3+ years’ experience in Aircraft Maintenance and/or Quality Inspection
• U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required
• Able to pass vision screening

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of inspection duties relating to overhaul and repair of gas turbine engine components, such as inspection, repair and test operation required to ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, overhaul manuals, maintenance manuals, Service Bulletins and other P&W/PWES documentation.
• Perform random visual and dimensional component inspection.
• Utilize various inspection methods and indication approval of proper procedure on applicable paperwork.
• A working knowledge of repair line operations and capabilities.
• Return components to service per applicable FAA, FAR’s, Foreign NAA, and P&W/PWES requirements.
• Supplement and initiate Detail Inspection Records and CS orders as required during the component repair and inspection process.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
