Job summary

PPG Huntsville, AL seeks a Process Improvement Engineer to drive safety, quality, and manufacturing performance. You will work on-site with the Development Engineering Manager and cross-functional teams to maximize productivity in aerospace manufacturing processes.

The role emphasizes reducing cycle times, improving product quality, and adopting new technologies. Requires a BS in Engineering and 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, with US citizenship or eligible status.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a scientific discipline is required.
5+ years of experience in engineering or equivalent environment.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Ability to work with floor-level operators and cross-functional teams to drive change.

Responsibilities

Drive improvement and maximize productivity in one or more work cells.
Serve as a technical resource for the production team and provide day-to-day technical support.
Improve product quality, increase process capacity, reduce variation and cycle/setup times.
Track and analyze production metrics and use data to identify improvement opportunities.
Collaborate with quality, design engineering, new product development, safety, and lab teams to resolve problems and improve processes.
