Howmet Aerospace Inc. in Whitehall, MI is seeking a Process Control Engineering Leader to drive manufacturing process excellence.

You will oversee Process Owners across key casting and heat treatment areas, implementing SPC, data-driven improvements, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to reduce scrap and improve quality. You will lead capex projects, ensure AS9100/NADCAP compliance, and collaborate with global teams to share best practices, advancing the transition to advanced manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing.
• 1+ year of leadership experience.
• Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Process Owners responsible for specific manufacturing processes.
• Define short and long term goals for each process and ensure compliance and cost improvements.
• Set KPIs for Process Owners and track productivity and quality goals.
• Define KOVs and KIVs and drive scrap and rework reduction across product lines.
• Grow the use of data science and AI for process control.
• Implement SPC and real-time monitoring to maintain process stability.
• Lead capex projects from concept to production release.
• Lead process improvement projects (Scrap/Rework Reduction, Cost Reduction, Cycle Time Reduction).
• Support transition from traditional manufacturing to advanced methods.
