Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. You will provide sourcing recommendations, identify new sources of supply, and monitor supplier performance for mechanical commodities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science with 5 years of engineering procurement experience, or a Master’s Degree with 3 years of experience.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and CAD models for fabrication.
• Familiarity with SAP, PLM, and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide sourcing recommendations to general procurement and major subcontract internal customers utilizing strategic sourcing tools.
• Identify and onboard new sources of supply for assigned commodities.
• Conduct capability assessments, supplier audits and performance monitoring of suppliers for assigned commodities.
• Travel required up to 25%.
