Job summary

Eaton Aerospace Group in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an Inspector A-2nd Shift to perform in-process and incoming dimensional inspections of highly complex hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, and mechanical components and assemblies.

The role supports Quality Control, reviews paperwork, and prepares inspection reports. The position requires knowledge of ASME Y14.5, AS9102, and CMM use, with a 1:45pm–10:15pm shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years related experience in mechanical inspection of highly complex, close tolerance products.
• Must be within 50 miles of Los Angeles facility; no relocation offered.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming and in-process components visually and dimensionally for conformance to drawings and specifications.
• Review and accept paperwork used for product acceptance; produce inspection reports.
• Operate precision measurement equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM, optical comparator).
• Perform first article inspections per AS9102 and witness supplier inspections as required.
• Communicate findings with SQE and act as liaison to suppliers for corrective actions.
