Job summary

Hermeus Corporation is seeking a Components Manufacturing Engineer to establish and scale advanced manufacturing for high‑precision hardware. You’ll own fabrication from concept to production, drive DFM, and optimize laser welding, machining, assembly and inspection processes.

You will lead first-article builds, fix non-conformances, and develop production tooling and documentation. Expect a hands-on role in a fast-paced, aerospace‑defense environment with broad ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on precision component manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end manufacturing processes for mechanical and precision components (machined, welded, formed).
• Drive design for manufacturability (DFM) with design teams from concept to release.
• Define and optimize process parameters for laser welding, machining, assembly and inspection.
• Lead first-article builds and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Own sheet metal shop planning, scheduling and on-time delivery of high-quality hardware.
• Design and procure production tooling, fixtures and test equipment to improve quality and throughput.
• Troubleshoot issues and resolve non-conformances on the production floor.
