Job summary

Aerotek in Sumner, WA is seeking an Assembler to perform precision aerospace assembly and sheet metal work, including deburring, riveting, and countersinking of metal and titanium components in a clean, safe manufacturing environment.

You will read blueprints, use calipers and micrometers, operate hand tools, and work independently to complete complex assemblies with minimal supervision, while supporting training and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Prior aerospace assembly experience with a focus on precision and quality.
• Hands-on sheet metal experience (forming, fitting, assembling).
• Countersinking proficiency; experience with manual mills is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving in assembly.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work repetitively.
• Effective communication to coordinate with team.
• Ability to work independently in a clean manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to train others and support troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with basic computer tasks for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform aerospace assembly tasks on sheet metal and titanium components, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
• Deburring operations to remove sharp edges while maintaining tolerances.
• Riveting and countersinking operations, including use of manual mills when required.
• Read, interpret, and follow detailed work instructions and blueprints.
• Use calipers, micrometers, shim gauges, and height gauges to verify dimensions.
• Operate hand tools safely and effectively for assembly and finishing.
• Work independently as a proficient operator, completing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Assist with training and troubleshooting within assigned cells, supporting team members.
• Maintain focus and alertness while performing repetitive tasks.
• Communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors to coordinate work.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of debris.
• Use basic computer skills to access work instructions and record production data.
• Demonstrate punctuality, politeness, and respect toward coworkers.
