Job summary

Scalian in the United States seeks an Engagement Manager based in Kinston, NC, with travel to Mobile, AL, to support a portfolio of about 60 consultants delivering IT, PMO, Production, and Supply Chain services.

You will manage client relationships, governance, and delivery quality while expanding scope and ensuring contract alignment. This role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and travel readiness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in PMO functions within an industrial environment or similar.
• Proven experience leading and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong skills in project planning, monitoring, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to thrive in complex environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Highly hands-on profile with the ability to engage directly in operational issues and problem-solving.
• Results-oriented mindset with strong execution and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience with manufacturing processes (an asset) and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel to Mobile, AL.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the client across the engagement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.
• Understand client needs, expectations, and pain points.
• Anticipate client satisfaction risks and manage escalations.
• Identify opportunities to expand the scope of services.
• Maintain regular communication on progress, risks, issues, and decisions.
• Monitor actuals vs. forecast; ensure accurate invoicing and contract changes.
• Establish and maintain governance routines and progress reviews.
• Lead and support consultants; coordinate recruiting, onboarding, and ramp-up.
• Track actions, risks, and opportunities; provide client-facing reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and business continuity.
