Job summary

Sonaca North America is seeking a Parts Finishing Technician to complete high-quality, hand-finished parts. You will use hand tools and small power tools to remove burrs and create edge breaks per customer specs, while reading blueprints for accurate configuration.

Under supervision you will learn to blend mismatches, inspect dimensions with measuring equipment, and document work orders. The role emphasizes teamwork and Lean/CI participation to improve safety and quality on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to use basic hand tools.
• Ability to apply basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Responsibilities

• Review planning/engineering and tooling to verify work process and quality requirements.
• Use hand tools and small power tools to remove burrs and create edge breaks.
• Inspect part dimensions and verify blueprints.
• Read and interpret blueprints and use gauges/calipers to verify configuration.
• Complete job order documentation accurately and timely.
• Participate in Lean/Continuous Improvement to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Assist with non-production tasks as directed by supervision/management.
• Perform final hand finishing, checking, and straightening of parts.
