Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Colorado Springs is seeking a Painter II to perform painting for commercial, military and dry film parts to support manufacturing operations.

The role requires basic technical training, ability to read engineering drawings, and adherence to NADCAP and safety standards, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and cross-training across assembly areas. This is an onsite role with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED; vocational/technical education acceptable.
• U.S. citizenship required for access to program/contract.
• Masking, hang, unhang and inspect parts under supervision.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Mechanical knowledge.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of shop math.

Responsibilities

• Operate painting tools, spray booth and ventilation system with minimal supervision.
• Perform routine paint operations for military, commercial and dry film processes under NADCAP specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.
• Conduct inventory to ensure raw materials and supplies are available.
• Identify and address safety hazards to improve workplace safety.
• Crosstrain and work in all areas of assembly operation.
• Provide continuous improvement ideas to support the company.
• Participate in NADCAP audits.
• Adhere to Collins rules and codes of conduct.
• Ensure EH&S standards and procedures are met.
• Perform other duties as required; overtime as needed.
