Job summary

Axilon Aerospace is seeking a Paint Technician to apply standard finishes to production and prototype machine/aerospace parts under supervision, following established procedures.

You will read blueprints, select finishes, mix coatings, manage masking, and operate spray equipment while maintaining safety and quality.

Position requires a High School diploma, 3+ years painting experience, and ability to work in an industrial setting with PPE; ITAR compliance and US person status are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years painting experience required.
• Experience reading blueprints or drawings.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, apply finishes to production and prototype parts with tolerance-aware methods.
• Assist in selecting finishes, quantities, and colors per specifications.
• Prepare surfaces and mix epoxies/solvents to correct ratios.
• Mix and apply finishes (acrylic, enamel, lacquer, urethane, etc.) to required colors/viscosities.
• Test and adjust drying/curing times and bake temperatures as needed.
• Operate spray equipment and maintain proper ventilation and masking.
• Assist in silk-screening transfers as needed and ensure quality graphics transfer.
• Follow PPE, safety, and housekeeping procedures.
• Perform other duties as required.
