Job summary

Boeing’s Spirit AeroSystems facility in Wichita, KS seeks a Materials Support role to move materials, enter CMMS data, coordinate requests, and operate equipment to ensure timely production. The position is union-represented and requires attention to safety and accuracy in a busy plant environment.

Candidates should be able to work any shift, stand long hours, and hold a valid driver’s license. Training will be provided to perform all job functions.

Qualifications

• Ability to work any shift.

Responsibilities

• Move materials to support production and other functions.
• Enter and retrieve data in the CMMS to assign work tasks.
• Coordinate customer work requests with management and trouble call system.
• Operate various motive equipment, including mobile cranes.
• Inspect and route damaged or worn hardware for disposition.
• Operate information systems to perform tasks.
• Protect parts and equipment with proper handling procedures.
• Load and unload air cargo as required.
• Check and maintain equipment and perform basic maintenance.
• Report major malfunctions and refuel equipment; communicate with staff.
